Led and funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the North Adams Public Schools 21st Century Afterschool Programs, during both the school year and summer sessions, offer students in grades K-12, academic enrichment programs in the following areas: 

• math

• science

• English language arts

• social studies

• social-emotional learning

• career pathways

• visual and performing arts 

• fitness 

With consistent student attendance, the Afterschool Program enhances students’ daily classroom learning. All programs are designed using the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks to ensure standards-based academic alignment. For over a decade, our Afterschool site has been recognized by the state for its excellence in programming and designated as a Demonstration Site for other district programs to visit and learn from.
