GATEWAY FUND AND PAULINE YOUNG MUSIC FUND
WHO WE ARE
The Gateway Fund and Pauline Young Music Fund support educational excellence by providing grants in perpetuity to benefit the students of North Adams Public Schools. Possible projects include, but are not limited to: independent study; new programs; extracurricular activities; individual creative projects, in or outside the classroom; visiting speakers; artists-in-residence; professional development for teachers; scientific, athletic, or technical equipment; library resources and class field trips.
The Gateway Fund awards up to $1,000 per project.
The Pauline Young Music Fund awards up to $2,000 per project.
The funds accept applications from students, teachers, administrators, and community members for initiatives that enhance the educational experience of students in the North Adams Public School District.

WHAT WE DO
The Gateway Fund community advisory committee annually reviews proposals submitted by community members including, students, teachers, administrators, and parents. Awards are granted to projects that seek to enhance and expand the learning environment. Types of programs that might be supported include:
Visits by authors, artists, or speakers
Purchase of materials for special projects
HOW WE OPERATE
The Gateway Fund is an endowment and as such can spend up to 5% of its resources annually. This allows contributions and investment returns to expand the Fund and award grants forever.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can make a change for the better that will last forever in the North Adams Public Schools by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Gateway Fund. Every contribution helps move the District forward onto the cutting edge of public education.
WHAT TO GIVE
Cash, stock, real estate, and mutual funds can be contributed. Every contribution helps. Gifts may be anonymous. Planned giving options also provide a good way to support The Gateway Fund. The Gateway Fund is funded through private resources and uses those resources to make grants in perpetuity for North Adams Public Schools.
